The sections for the SMC Challenge rally in Masaka due April 12-14 are set. But the 2WD category rally driver Timothy Gawaya has vowed to beat all his challengers.
“We have overhauled our car. Bought a new gear box and we are ready to sort out the men from the boys.
And defending champion Ponsiano Lwakataka is the man to beat in the event.
Masaka has always given us a warm welcome. Last year they nicknamed us “akamotoka akato” literally meaning small beast.
“We are focused and we promise not to disappoint our Masaka fans,” Gawaya popularly known as stinger added.
The Masaka rally will cover a total distance of 187kms event of which 132kms are competitive sections.
