Uganda Christian University men’s volleyball team-UCU doves has been urged to leave a mark in the continental championship Cairo.
UCU Doves and Nemo Stars are representing Uganda in the men’s Africa Club Volleyball championship in Egypt starting March 31 to April 11 ,2019.
“I’m very excited to see that you are representing Uganda in the continental championship. You are facing champions from all over the continent but good performance is not only winning a trophy, but even emerging the most discipline team is good enough,” David Mugawe the university deputy vice Chancellor development and external relations noted.
Team coach Nason Bwesigye promised that his side is going to put up a formidable fight for better results.
“Yes it is our time to compete at this level, but the boys are prepared to get results,” Bwesigye said.
UCU has a squad of thirteen players who includes, Moses Odeke – Captain, John Mark Okurut – Asst Captain, Elias Isiagi, Johnson Rukundo, Jonathan Tumukunde
Abraham Levi Orapa, Vincent Odeke, Samuel Engwau, Omongin, Deogracious Anguria, Deogratius Kedi, Marino Oboke and Marvin Rukoba
The management team includes Nason Bwesigye – Coach,Protus Soita Baraza – Asst Coach
Lucy Amuda – Physiotherapist and Cornelius Engwenyu – Team Manager
