Uganda side UCU Doves beat Gendarmarie of Madagascar 3-0 to secure their second in the on going Men’s Africa Volleyball Club championship in Cairo.

Madagascar side put up a spirited fight by the Uganda side could not allow them dent their target of making it to the group stages.

The mukono side won 25-19,29-27 and 25-21 in the three sets and the victory means that UCU is a win away to the knockout stages.

Coach Nason Bwesigye when contacted said,” I’m impressed with boys. they came to play and they are doing their best to meet our target of making it to the Knockout stages.”

This was the first time UCU to compete in the continental tournament and beatting the Madagascar side and Zone V Africa Champions Gisagare of Rwanda is a great mark left in the tournament.
