Youngsters show class in Garuga

Ali Omar Yasser returned from injury with class and speed that overwhelmed the fans that turned to Garuga in the fourth round of the National Motocross championship.
Omar popularly known as Bobo beat van Pee twice in the “Hole shot” and also the first heat in a tightly contested race of the combined classes (MX1 and MX125).
Omar won the first heat but Maxime later won the last two heats in the race that excited fans as Omar and Fortune Ssentamu gave Maxime breathless times on the track.
The two youngsters’ challenge impressed Van Pee who is the National motocross team captain.
“I’m impressed with Bobo’s return. The challenge he given me proves that we not only have a bright future but strong national team as we head to the FIM Africa championship,” Maxime said after the races.
“The track was very slippery, but this is what we to see riders performing in different weather including such a wet track and I give the boys credit for the challenge they are giving me,” Maxime added.
Gift Ssebuguzi won the 65cc class and Kreidah Nsubuga coming second, Waleed Omar won the 85cc with Kylan Wekesa finishing second.
COC Arthur Blick Jr said that the event was successful but had early morning delay because of the heavy rains.
The event live on Urban television was supported by Shell Advance oil, Mountain Dew and Urban Television.
