Rugby Cranes is confident of his starting squad against Kenya in the Elgon Cup later this month (June 22) in Kisumu Kenya, but is yet to find a solid standby bench.

Sseguya disclosed this after a 14-3 defeat of United States International University (USIU) of Kenya in a friendly game he used to test his junior charges on Saturday at Kings Park Ground Bweyogerere.

“I used this game to find the suitable substitutes in my squad. Yes, they are trying but they are not yet there at the level I want them because they should exactly like their senior side,” Sseguya noted.

The team captain Ian Munyani blamed the heavy rains for the poor show which included no continuity in the match and the low scores.

“The weather disorganised us from playing our structures, but we are good a team and the boys are focused,” he stated.

Sseguya will soon be naming his 22 players to form is squad including fly half Ivan Magomu, Lock Byron Oketayot, Aaron Ofoywroth, Asuman Mugerwa, Philip Wokorach, Michael Wokorach, Musa Muwonge, Edgar Pajob, and Pius Ogena.
