Rhinos Rugby Football Club in partnership with the Buganda Kingdom and Vivo Energy Uganda through the Shell Rimula brand will host the annual Coronation Rugby 7s Cup at Legends Rugby Grounds on Saturday July 20, 2019. 

The second edition of the Coronation Rugby 7s Cup will also double as the fifth circuit of the Roke Sevens. This tournament will feature 16 teams (12 Male and 4 Female) fiercely competing on the rugby pitch to be crowned winners of the Coronation Rugby 7s Cup 2019.

The Coronation Rugby 7s Cup is part of the commemoration activities celebrating the crowning of His Majesty Ssabasajja Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II as the King of Buganda.

The Coronation of the Kabaka marked a great day in the history of the Buganda Kingdom. 
The annual Coronation anniversary is an occasion of celebration throughout the Buganda Kingdom and a source of reverence of the Buganda Kingdom and its culture by many people throughout Uganda. The annual event is a highly celebrated by the Buganda Kingdom, its venerable Royals and subjects. 

“Buganda Kingdom emphasizes healthy living and rugby is a sport of healthy bodies and minds. How can we miss out on such an exciting event? The Kabaka appreciates the contribution of sports to the Kingdom. Rugby is a sport that teaches the values of integrity, solidarity, discipline and respect and therefore we need to embrace it and support it,” remarked Prince David Wasajja who is a Uganda Rugby Union trustee. 

With support from stakeholders including Vivo Energy Uganda through the Shell Rimula brand, Buganda Land Board, Majestic Brands, Events Warehouse, Fotogenix, Movit Products Limited, DHL Uganda, Guardian Pharmacy, Pepsi, Roke Telekom and Legends Bar & Restaurant, Shell Rimula Rhinos RFC are organizing a colorful festive event that will see large numbers of rugby fans flock to the Legends Rugby grounds come 20th July 2019 to watch the all-day action on the pitch and also partake of the variety of food, drinks and entertainment on the day.

5,000/= will be charged as entrance fee. A part of the gate collection proceeds to be donated to a community outreach project within the Buganda Kingdom Community.
