This year’s shell V-Power Pearl of rally due august 2-4,2019 is expected to be bigger and better.

This is after vivo Energy under their Shell V-Power brand injected sh110m in the event that doubles as the fifth round of the Africa Rally championship.

Gilbert Assi the Vivo Energy managing director urged the organisers to focus on safety as his company is committed to continue supporting the event.

“We are committed to continued support of th shell V-power rally,but safety should not be compromised during the event,” Assi noted.

Federation of Motorsport club of Uganda Dusman Okee lauded Shell for the support and assured them of accident free event.

The company further extended sponsorship to four top Ugandan drivers urging them to go for victory.

They included Omar Mayanja (sh40m), Umar Kakyama (sh5m), Sh65m to former National rally champions Ronald Ssebuguzi and Arthur Blick jr.

The quartent lauded shell and promised to their best so that they carry Uganda’s flag high by emerhing in the top five positions.

The three-day event starts with scruitneering on Thursday, then head for the super special stage in Busiika Luwero District, before heading to Kayunga for the final day where competitors will showcase their skills in the eight sections.

The four sections to be repeated includes Adel, Shekha Metha and Lwasa.
