Rider Aviv Orland has dealt team Uganda a blow as they prepare for the forthcoming FIM Africa of Nations Motocross Championships in Zimbabwe next month August 30- September 1,2019.
The 16-year old rider in the MX125 cc class fractured his fibula and tibia bones while in California.
Evas Orland, the mother of the youngster, confirmed the development saying he will be out for some time to have full recovery.
” We are through with the first part where he took operation on both bones.
We are going to have another session with other doctors to examine what the first operation was like,” Evas explained.
“It’s from that, that we will know the time he will spend out of action but he will come back bigger and stronger” added the soft speaking mother.
Meanwhile Stav and Alon Orland are continuing with their training programs which are expected to end late next week.
They will take a break next week and return to boost team Uganda in the continental event.
Stav Orland is continental defending champion in the 85cc class and the fastest rider on continent in his class.
The Orland brothers are supported, KTM, Uganda motocross Arena Busiika, Kampala Executive Aviation (KEA).
