IUEA boosts Kiwanuka
International University of East Africa (IUEA) has boosted professional boxer Shafik Kiwanuka’s inaugural title fight this year.
IUEA director Hassan Alwi Jr confirmed his institution’s support to Kiwanuka’s fight by offering the 2000 ultra-modern seater auditorium for the fight.
“We want to make this the home of Shafik and we are ready to give you all the support needed to make his fights a success,” Alwi noted.
Early this year Kiwanuka was offered a scholarship at the University and has started studying in the faculty of languages.
In his last fight Kiwanuka aka “the killing Machine” knocked down Congolese boxer Tyson Mbikayi in 35 seconds at the MTN Arena Lugogo which has elevated him to a continental belt fight.
“We are cooking. We have already paid the sanction fee and we are soon going to launch the fight so that the public knows who is next in the queue to be crashed by the killing Machine,” a vocal Emmanuel Mwesigwa who is Kiwanuka’s promoter said.
Kiwanuka is supported by International University of East Africa and Vision Group under the Urban tv brand.
