Former Federation of Motorsport Clubs of Uganda (FMU) secretary Joseph Mwangala has joined the three-day Uganda Motor Economy adventure Tour due November 20-22, 2020 to cover 900km.

Mwangala and the former 2WD national champion Timothy Gawaya are latest entrants in the organised by United Motorsport Club (UMOSPOC) and Enduro Club Uganda.

Mwangala will be driving a Toyota wish, while Gawaya navigated by Lion Marty will drive a Toyota Starlet and will be joined by other crews including   Alex Kikonyongo, the Worldwide Movers team, Jude Lubega and the Panamera fan Innocent Gashumba.

The three-day adventure tour with the theme “Discover what is within” is meant to promote domestic tourism in the country and will cover the western Uganda region.

According to deputy clerk of the Course (COC) Jareed Kaleera, close of entry will be on November 15but the earlier entries are made, the better preparations.

“We basically want to organise this event to international standards,” Kaleera said.

On day one, participants will cover a distance from Kampala- Kapeka- Hoima- Kabwoya Game Reserve and spend an overnight in Hoima.

They will then cover Hoima – Kagadi- Kyenjojo- Fort Portal – Bundibugyo (Semuliki National Park and Sempaya Hot springs) then spend an overnight in Fort Portal on day two.

The final day will cover the areas of Fort Portal – Kasese – Kazinga channel- Queen Elizabeth National Park – Ishaka escapement- Bushenyi and end in Mbarara.
